How long do lash extensions last?

The extensions can last indefinitely with proper maintenance. Most of our clients come every 2 to 3 weeks for maintenance; some come in once a month, depending on how well you take care of them. Eyelash extensions will last the term of the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes. *See Hair Cycle. To maintain your eyelash extensions’ length and beauty, please follow the tips below: -Comb eyelash extensions with eyelash comb or eyelash brush -Do not rub your eyes roughly -Do not pull your eyelash extensions -Do not sleep face down -Do not use oil cleansers -Do not use mechanical eyelash curler Hair Cycle: The period of time between hair growth and loss is called hair cycle. The term is between 2 to 6 weeks. It is influenced by everyday life, for instance, eating habits and sleeping time. Also, the hair cycle is influenced by stress, illness and heredity factors. Up to two months, with touch ups done every 2-4 weeks. A natural lash typically falls out every 60-90 days and is replaced with the growth of a new lash.

Do extensions make your natural lashes fall out and are they harmful to your natural lashes?

No, they do not harm your natural lashes. Your lash extensions are applied by a certified stylist using a special technique that will allow your lashes to shed naturally. Your lash extensions will feel natural.

Can you wear mascara?

To properly maintain your lashes, you should not use waterproof mascaras. We offer special water soluble mascaras that can be worn with the Mink and Xtreme lashes. Other products may damage your lashes. Please consult your LashMoi Certified Stylist for details regarding available lash care products.

Can you swim or exercise with your lash extensions?

It is highly recommended to keep them dry for the first 48 hours. You can go swimming and run water on them in the shower following the first 48 hours.  Unless you have the Xtreme lashes, which only requires a 3 hour dry time before getting them wet.

Are there any precautions I should take following lash extensions?

Yes. To help avoid weakening the adhesive bond and premature eyelash extension loss, we recommend avoiding excessive exposure to heat, use of oil-based eye care products, excessive mascara application, picking or pulling of your eyelashes, rubbing your eyes and the use of mechanical curlers should all be avoided.

Are eyelash extensions safe if I wear contacts?

Yes. Eyelash extensions are safe for use with contacts.

What do I do before come in for the eyelash appointment?

You should clean your lashes with mild cleanser. Do not use oily makeup remover to clean your lashes prior to the application. Do not curl your lash. Do not wear any mascara, or other eye makeup when you come in for your appointment

Is the eyelash extension process comfortable?

Yes! It is a comfortable and relaxing process. During the application, you are laying on your back with specialty neck pillows, and a blanket is available at your request.

How long does an eyelash extension procedure take?

The application process takes approximately 1 hour. Total time depends on what kind of lashes you are getting and the volume of your natural lashes..

Do eyelash extensions interfere with my glasses?

No. We will recommend the best length, curl, and design in accordance with your lifestyle.

How can I remove eyelash extensions?

To avoid damage to your natural lashes, we strongly recommend removal by our lash specialists. Please do not attempt removing eyelash extensions by yourself.

Can I get a procedure even if I got my current lash extensions done at another salon?

Yes. Here at Lash Moi, the health of your eyelashes is paramount, and in order to provide excellent service, we will have to schedule a Take- Off as well as a Full Set of lashes.  The removal of lashes is necessary as we are not responsible for work performed at another salon.  Our stylist will assess if any damage has occurred to your natural lashes and will determine if your natural lashes are healthy and strong enough for a new set.

 

Even if you have scheduled a Fill, your service may still require removal of the previous lashes if the work seems to be faulty or if there appears to be any damage to your natural lashes.  If there is damage to the natural lashes, we may not be able to continue with the service of a Full Set or Fill because here at Lash Moi, our first priority is to ensure health and strength of your lashes.

What other services do you offer?

Although we mainly specialize in eyelash extensions, we also offer cosmetic tattoos which include microstoking, permanent eyeliner and lip liner.

Can I bring my children and guests?

Due to insurance and liability reasons, only clients being serviced are allowed in the back.  No children under the age of 8 are allowed to be in the waiting room unsupervised.

Can I add gratuity onto my credit card?

 We do not accept tips through credit cards at this time. Please bring cash for gratuity.

Is there a booking deposit?

LASH SERVICES

Yes, for first-time clients a $50 deposit is due when booking your appointment.  The deposit can be used toward your services or retail products.  If you need to change the appointment for any reason, the deposit will remain on your account as long as any change is made at least 24 hours before the currently scheduled appointment.

 

PERMANENT MAKEUP

Yes, for first-time clients, a *deposit of 25% of the total price for permanent makeup service is due when making an application appointment.  The*deposit can be used toward your services or retail products.  If you need to change the appointment for any reason, the deposit will remain on your account as long as any change is made at least 48 hours before the currently scheduled appointment.

*Please Note: Deposits to reserve all Permanent/ Semi-permanent Cosmetic Tattoo/ Makeup services are Non-Refundable. In the event that you need to reschedule your appointment please do so a minimum of 48- hours prior to your actual existing appointment to avoid cancellation or rescheduling fees or possible forfeiture of your original deposit. Same-day cancellations or No-shows will forfeit your appointment deposit in its entirety and will require an additional appointment deposit to reschedule. One (1) reschedule will be permitted per client – provided that notice to reschedule was given by the client at least 48-hours prior to their actual appointment time.

What is the cancellation policy?

Lash Moi attempts to make Courtesy Reminder Calls at least 1 day prior to your scheduled appointment; however, these calls should not be misunderstood as Confirmation Calls. Provided below is the detailed Cancellation Policy for our clients:

Cancellation Policy: Lash Services

  • New clients: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled service. If you fail to cancel or reschedule prior to the 24-hour period, your booking deposit will be forfeited and you will be required to make an additional $50 deposit to reschedule your first appointment.
  • Returning clients:
    • If you need to cancel or reschedule any reserved appointments, please do so at least 24 hours prior, or you will be charged a fee of $50 per half hour of the appointment time.
    • All fees must be paid in full and account must be current prior to scheduling future appointments; and, in some cases future appointments previously reserved may be cancelled until your account is current.
    • In some cases, a deposit may be required to reserve future services.

 

Cancellation Policy: Permanent Makeup
If you need to cancel or reschedule your new appointment, please do so at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled service.  If you fail to cancel or reschedule prior to the 48-hour period, your booking deposit will be forfeited and you will be required to make an additional deposit to reschedule your first appointment.  If you need to cancel or reschedule your follow-up appointment, please do so at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled service.  If you fail to cancel or reschedule prior to the 48-hour period, your account will be charged a fee of $50 per half hour of the appointment time.

 

Lash Moi reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion. 

Cell Phone Policy

If you need to use your cell phone while waiting to be serviced we ask that you please be quiet and courteous to the other customers being serviced while in the waiting room, or to please take your calls outside.  No cell phones are allowed past the front desk.

What is the Late Policy?

Lash Moi grants a 10-minute grace period to all clients; arrivals after the grace period are considered late and noted on your account as such. Provided below is our late policy:

  • If you arrive late, but less than 30 minutes, you will have the option to receive the remainder of your reserved service time.
    • During the remaining appointment time, our stylists will perform as much of the scheduled service as possible and will conclude your appointment at the original scheduled time.
    • Keep in mind that you will be charged for the full service if you select this option. If you choose simply to reschedule your appointment, your account will be subject to Same Day Cancellation fee of $50 per half hour of the reserved service time.
  • If you arrive 30 minutes late or more, your appointment will be canceled as a Same Day Cancellation and subject to a cancellation fee of $50 per half hour of the service time reserved.

 

All fees must be paid in full and account must be current prior to scheduling future appointments.
